Leave Squarespace without starting over.
Squarespace has no way to take your site with you. Decamp rebuilds it as plain code you own, looking the same and living at the same addresses, so you can stop paying for the plan.
Preview your site freeWhy Squarespace's own export isn't enough
The export in Squarespace settings produces a WordPress import file. It carries some pages and one blog's posts as text, but none of the design: no layout, fonts, colours or spacing. You would be rebuilding the site from scratch somewhere else. Decamp copies what visitors actually see instead.
What moves across
- Every page, laid out the way it is now
- Blog posts, as Markdown files you can edit
- Fonts, images and colours
- Contact forms, wired up to your email
- Your existing URLs, so search rankings carry over
What stays behind
- Scheduling (Acuity) and member areas
- Squarespace Commerce checkout
- Anything else that runs inside your Squarespace dashboard
I'll tell you which of these apply to your site before you pay anything.
How it works
1
See it first
Paste your link on the homepage. In about a minute you get your homepage running without the platform, free.
2
I rebuild the rest
Every page, post and form, at the same URLs. You get the code in a GitHub repository in your name.
3
Host it and switch
Host it free yourself with a short guide, or pay $8 a month and I move the domain and run it for you.
What it costs
Squarespace plans run $19–49 a month as of October 2026. Decamp is $50 once, after which hosting can be free, or $8 a month if you want me to run it. See pricing.
